As part of the global EnDev programme, funded by several donor countries, EnDev Bolivia developed an innovative Monitoring & Evaluation (M & E) system. The system provides donors, partners and counterparts with realistic and reliable data regarding intervention and project activity progress. The results are presented with transparency and can be consulted instantly online, at the monitoring portal.
All M & E activities are linked to specific project areas, such as coordination, technical implementation and administration. The M & E results allow for decisions to be made using concrete information, adequate timing for the interventions and based on teamwork. The specific tools used in Bolivia are the following:
Regional monitoring system
An online platform used by Bolivia, Peru, Nicaragua, Honduras and Mozambique. This system allows information to be exchanged on the beneficiaries, intervention areas, technology and infrastructure.
This is a programme used to create digital surveys, which ensure the collection of data in a secure way. This tool is used for baseline and technical studies, as well as the stove evaluation protocols, such as the Kitchen Performance Test (KPT).
Wiki - Energypedia
A wiki-base platform for collaborative knowledge exchange and the transparent dissemination of quality information on energy topics. Within the platform, EnDev Bolivia uses “Wiki-Energypedia” for internal activities, such as project coordination, activity organization, knowledge management and the exchange of lessons learnt.
Allows for the monthly monitoring of fixed and variable costs, in order to compare the planned and executed budget. It is a tool that combines the administrative and technical areas.
